It's ONLY Wednesday....

Yes, it's only Wednesday but I'm E.X.H.A.U.S.T.E.D!!!! Starting a new job is MUCH more stressful than I'd imagined. When I started my last job I was brand spanking new to the whole teaching world, but this time is different. I am now 4 years into the game and I never wanted to leave my last job. However, moving made my once 25 minute commute a hour...each way. As much as I love my job, I just couldn't imagine doing again this year. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to move a bit closer to home. I'm extremely excited to be teaching and in a new environment. This week I've spent three days "learning" all the new procedures and quite honestly I'm exhausted...

I'll just ask that whenever you get a sec whisper a lil prayer up for me and my family as we transition, it's gonna be FUN!!!

Thankful Thursday

Each Thursday I am going to aim to come here and mention something(s) I'm genuinely thankful for. At times, these may seem silly (to you) but they will always be memories, things, or people that mean a lot to me. I'd like to start this off with saying how thankful I am for being able to complete a task I set out to do this year, The Peachtree Road Race. For some background, this is the worlds largest 10k a.k.a 60k people gather in Buckhead to complete 6.2miles. I had tried at least twice before to get in, but had been unsuccessful but THIS YEAR I knew I had it in me to do. I entered the lottery and got picked, but that was only half the battle. I hadn't really been running regularly and I knew I would need to try to get in decent shape to complete it. I set a personal goal of 1:30 to complete the race, crazy enough. To my surprise, I went out 2 weeks before the race and ran the course and just happened to finish in 1:25!!! I was absolutely astonished, but figured it was a fluke and that with 60k people I'd never be able to match that time....fast forward to 7/4/12.

I just happened to finish the PRR with a time of 1:25:52!!!!! I am so proud of myself and am signing up to complete my next 10k in September with Black Girls Run here in Atlanta. Kudos to me, and to you, as you become a better person EVERY day and accomplish more and more.

Hellooooooo young world!!!!!! I am making the jump back into the blogging world after documenting my wedding process over a year ago. I'm so excited to keep a "journal" of my life again as I make a leap into so many new avenues. However, I feel as if I should share my own promised to you, the reader

I promise to always:

    K.I.S.S.- Keep it simple, silly!!! I am not too complex of a person and of course I'm pretty open since I'm sharing this here with you. I also won't use a fancy camera, for the time being, and always share as much detail as I possibly can.

    Be honest- If I don't like something, or vice-versa, YOU'LL KNOW!!! I'm one of those people who has a very hard time not showing emotions on my face and in this case, my blog will be my mirror.

    Post as much as always- Of course, life deals us our own opportunities and pitfalls, but I love to keep an open line of communication. So, be decent with me if I ever "miss" posting or seem to be absent...
